UAE business visa also known as investor or partner visa is a 2 year long residence visa in Dubai, UAE. This residence visa is a type of residence visa that allows foreign investors to reside in the country for the purpose of establishing or owning a business. To be eligible to apply for an investor/partner visa in the UAE, you must hold an important share or stake in a UAE-based company. Holders of an investor & partner visa can often sponsor their immediate family members for residency.
Investor/Partner Visa process:
- Obtain Trade License and MOA: First step to apply for a investor/partner residence visa to register a trade license for your business and ensure that the Memorandum of Association (MOA) includes your name as a partner or shareholder.
- Establishment Card: Your company must get an Establishment Card from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). Establishment Card also known as immigration card serves as proof that a company is duly registered and authorized to operate and is required for all visa applications for you and your employees.
- Entry Permits: An entry permit is a document issued by the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Ports Security that allows foreigners to enter and stay in the UAE legally. Validity of an entry permit is two months for investor/partner visas.
- Visa Change of Status: If you’re staying inside the UAE with a valid visit/tourist visa then you have to apply for visa change of status.
- Medical Fitness Test: You will undergo an assessment by a doctor, have a simple blood test, and a chest x-ray.
- Emirates ID card application: After completing the medical examination, you will need to apply for an Emirates ID card. You have to take an appointment to submit your biometric information. Emirates id card is a biometric identification card which is an official identity document for UAE citizens or residents.
- Visa Stamping: UAE immigration authorities will examine the visa application once it has been submitted. Once approved you will receive a sms and an email with the attached copy of the new residency visa.
The investor/partner visa application process takes 15 to 20 working days to complete.
