UAE Employment Visa
Foreign nationals who want to live & work in the UAE long-term must have an Employment Visa. To get an employment visa first you need an employer willing to hire you and start the necessary procedure to process your employment visa and work permit for the UAE. A standard work visa is valid for two years.
Some basic requirements to be allowed to work in the UAE and the company hiring you are: You must be at least 18 years old. You must have a signed employment contract from your sponsor. Your sponsor must have a valid trade license, establishment card and available employee visa quota. The company must not have any violations. Your work and company activity should be similar.
Documents do I need for a UAE employment visa?
- Your original passport with a validity of six months.
- A white background passport size photograph in line with UAE requirements.
- Copies of your academic qualifications. Your qualifications have to be authorized by the UAE Embassy or consulate in your country as well as from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of your country.
- Documents from the company hiring you, such as the trade license of the company and the establishment card.
- Medical screening clearance.
- Signed employment contract.
