UAE Golden Visa
The UAE Golden visa is a 10 years long residence visa which enables foreign talents, scientists, investors, artists, entrepreneurs and their families to live, work or study in the UAE while enjoying exclusive benefits including longer residency, travel freely to and from the UAE, tax benefits, property ownership rights, employment and business investment opportunities, safe environment, access to healthcare services, no minimum stay requirements, family & domestic workers inclusion, access to quality education, Esaad Privilege Card and so on.
Golden Visa Eligibility
Candidates must be a non-UAE national, have a valid passport and must have a clean criminal record. Candidates must meet the specific UAE Golden Visa requirements or the category of visa he/she is applying for.
UAE Golden Visa Requirements
- Investors in public investments: Provide a letter from a UAE-accredited investment fund confirming an AED 2 million deposit by the investor or, present a valid commercial or industrial license along with a memorandum of association confirming a capital investment of at least AED 2 million. Also provide a letter from the Federal Tax Authority confirming an annual contribution of at least AED 250,000 to the government. Furthermore, it is essential that the investor must not loan the invested amount. The investor must have health insurance for all his/her family members.
- Real Estate Investors : A confirmation letter from the land registration department of the relevant emirate confirming ownership of one or more properties valued at least 2 million dirhams regardless of whether it’s off-plan, completed or mortgaged.
- Entrepreneurs: Entrepreneurs must have a minimum capital of AED 500,000 verified by an UAE based auditor. Project should be innovative, risk-based technical or economic and UAE based.
- Requirements for Professionals, Exceptional talents, Scientists, Specialists:
- Doctors must have authorization from the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention. Having 20 years of practical experience in the field of medical expertise also can apply for a Golden visa.
- Inventors need a recommendation from the Ministry of Economy demonstrating that the patent significantly benefits the UAE economy.
- Scientists need a recommendation from the Emirates Council of Scientists or an award from the Mohammed bin Rashid Medal for Scientific Excellence.
- Creative professionals need approval from the Department of Culture and Arts.
- Athletes need a recommendation from the General Sports Authority or a local sports council.
- Professionals working as senior managers or Chief Executives having a bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience drawing a minimum salary of 30,000 AED or more can apply for a golden visa.
- Requirements for outstanding students: A high school student with 95% grade in secondary school can apply for a golden visa providing a recommendation from the Ministry of Education. University graduates with outstanding academic performance can apply for a golden visa. Graduates from a top 100 global university can apply for a golden visa.
